This year’s Inspire Day marked, in many ways, the culmination of three year’s work: research, supported by UCL Master’s and PhD programmes; discussions with staff, among staff, and between staff and providers; and continuous consultation with pupils and reflection on their feedback, all within the parameters of grounded theory and design theory.
This year’s Inspire Day aimed to deliver innovative learning over the course of a single day suited to individual needs, cross-age boundaries and met character-and-skills based learning gains. The pupils experienced soundscape & art installations, sports science, model aircraft construction, caring for Shetland ponies and so much more: there was something for everyone!
The aim was achieved through the extreme efforts of staff ranging from Estates and catering, to the Head and teaching staff, and of providers ranging from silent photographers to horse whisperers. It was an organic and unforgettable day that has sown the seeds for collaborations, provision, and gains for RGS Prep boys over the year ahead.
