22 OGs from the Class of 2016 headed to Bradstone Brook, where they played alongside the Headmaster’s XI match against the OG XI. Organised by Alex Goodchild (OG’16), they had an absolutely brilliant time – the cricket was very enjoyable, varied, sometimes at a leisurely pace and the laughter from the pitch was wonderful to hear. Touchingly, afterwards all made a collective donation to the Bursary Fund by way of thanks and “because it’s a great cause and one we all really believe in”.
A very popular fixture amongst OGs, a chance to play at Bradstone Brook against the staff. This year’s OG team was captained once again by Alexander Sweet (OG’16). It was a very enjoyable match: keenly contested, with skill, excellent spirit and sportsmanship, and the OGs won by 11 runs, scoring 160 for 6 off 20 overs.
