The RGS Parents’ Association is a vibrant and welcoming group of parent volunteers dedicated to making our school an even better place for our children to learn, grow, and thrive. We bring parents together through engaging events, raise vital funds to support academic and extracurricular opportunities, and run popular second-hand uniform sales.

What We Do
Over the past year, the Parents’ Association has proudly raised over £14,000 through a range of activities, including Second-Hand Uniform Sales (SHUGS) and Social Events
Where Your Support Goes:
Funds raised have directly contributed to:
• £2,499 for Camera Equipment to support creative learning • £1,916 for a Drum Kit to enrich music education • £1,457 for the Flight Sim Club, inspiring future aviators • £750 for the Sailing Club, expanding outdoor adventure opportunities • £380 for the Enterprise Club, supporting budding entrepreneurs
We also actively support school trips, offer volunteer help where needed, and organise social events that bring the RGS community together.
Secondhand Uniform Sales (SHUGS) - Senior
Our popular Second-Hand Uniform and Goods Store (SHUGS) is entirely run by parent volunteers and offers high-quality, pre-loved school uniforms at fantastic prices. It’s a great way to save money, reduce waste, and support the school.
When is SHUGS open?
The store opens on the first Saturday after the start of every term and half-term. We also hold an annual sale for new families — a perfect way to stock up and settle in.
Want to donate?
We’re always grateful for good-condition uniform donations. All proceeds go straight back into enriching school life.
Secondhand Uniform Sales (SHUGS) - Prep
The secondhand uniform and goods store for RGS Prep is run by parent volunteers. An opportunity is provided for parents to buy and sell second-hand uniforms. A number of sales are organised throughout the year. To sell items of RGS Prep uniform please visit the ‘School Information’ section of the Parent Portal
All funds raised support the School. We always welcome more stock!
Looking Ahead
In the year ahead, we’re excited to:
• Continue supporting key school projects through targeted fundraising
• Host events that build friendships and school spirit
• Encourage even more parents to get involved and have their say
Every parent has something to offer. Whatever time or skills you can contribute, we’d love to have you on board.
