Take a look at the wide variety of opportunities available to our students during a typical day at the RGS.
School Life
School Day
The school day at RGS Guildford begins at 8.45am with Registration and finishes at 4.00pm, although many students participate in the wide range of co-curricular activities that take place before, during and after school.
The day consists of eight 40 minute periods. Details of the Lower, Middle and Upper School curriculum can be found here.
There is a morning break of 20 minutes and a lunch break of one hour. Students are encouraged to have a cooked lunch, which is paid for termly in advance. The School has its own catering team, Holroyd Howe, who provide our students with a top quality, varied menu which caters for all dietary requirements.
A wide range of co-curricular activities including over 70 clubs and societies takes place during the school day and continues between 4.00pm to 5.30pm. Most sporting fixtures take place on Saturdays, and, understanding the importance of physical activity, our Sport for All philosophy ensures that all students are involved in competitive fixtures throughout their time at the RGS.
